Anti-Radiation Medicine India : Currently on the world map is the Iran-Israel conflict in the Middle East (US-Israel Iran War) and the Russia-Ukraine war in Europe seems to be darkening the clouds of nuclear war. In such a terrible situation, a big question mark has arisen on human existence. However, India’s expertise in pharmaceutical manufacturing is becoming a ray of hope for the world during this crisis. Demand for Indian medicines and medical kits that protect against nuclear radiation has suddenly increased globally. Interestingly, India has developed this technology completely indigenously, so we are no longer dependent on foreign countries.
Prussian Blue: Enemy of toxins in the body
A nuclear explosion or a leak from a nuclear power plant not only causes immediate destruction, but also releases hazardous elements such as cesium-137 and thallium into the air. If these elements enter our body through breathing, organs fail. As a panacea for this, the ‘Scott-Edil Pharmacia’ company in Chandigarh has developed ‘Prussian Blue’ capsules with the help of DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organization). Marketed as ‘Pru-DeCorp’, this drug absorbs harmful radiation from the body and helps to eliminate it through the digestive system.

Radioactive iodine is most dangerous during a nuclear emergency. This iodine directly attacks the thyroid gland in your neck, which increases the risk of developing cancer in the future. Indian companies like ‘Taj Pharmaceuticals’ are manufacturing potassium iodide tablets. This medicine fills the thyroid gland with safe iodine, leaving no room for harmful radioactive iodine to enter the body.

DRDO’s Special ‘Anti-Nuclear Medical Kit’
Another thing that adds to the glory of India is the special medical kits produced by DRDO. These include about 25 items, including radiation-protective ointments, chelating agents, and various medications. This kit is primarily designed for military units and disaster management teams. Many major countries of the world have now approached India to supply these kits, thus once again underlining India’s image as the ‘Pharmacy of the World’.
