Recently, during a program, Akshay Kumar made a special appeal to men and said that after the age of 50, every person should get PSA test done regularly because with this, Prostate Cancer can be detected in the early stages.

Actually, Akshay Kumar recently appeared in a program of India Today where health related issues were being discussed. During the conversation, he shared a very emotional experience while remembering his father. He told that even today he regrets that he was not aware about the importance of PSA test at that time.

Akshay Kumar said that he lost the most important person in his life i.e. his father due to cancer. According to the actor, his father left this world at the age of 67 and at that time the family did not understand how important it was for men to get the PSA test done after the age of 50 or 55.

Akshay Kumar became emotional remembering his father. He said that his father was the most important person in his life and losing him was a huge shock for him. The actor believes that if the investigation had been done in time, the disease might have been detected early and the situation could have been different.

Akshay Kumar appealed to the people present on the stage and all the audience listening to him to take this matter seriously. He said that every man should get PSA test done once a year because if the disease is detected in its early stages, treatment becomes possible and life can be saved.

He also told that prostate cancer is becoming very common among men and many times people ignore its initial symptoms. According to the actor, getting tested on time can not only save a person’s life but can also save the entire family from a major problem.
