Paraspur: Orgy of fire in Ahiran Purva, poor’s house burnt to ashes

On Sunday afternoon, the fire in Madhairpur Khanderai (Ahiran Purva) under Paraspur police station area took such a huge form that the savings and house of a poor family was reduced to ashes in a moment. The victim has suffered a loss of thousands in this fire. According to the information received, a fire suddenly broke out in the shed of villager Bhagat Ram at around 3:00 pm on Sunday afternoon.

Due to strong winds and heat the fire took a huge form in no time. By the time the villagers could understand something and tried to extinguish the fire, the fire engulfed the entire thatch. Everything including cash and jewellery, the victim Bhagat Ram told with a choked voice that his entire life’s earnings had been burnt in this horrific fire. The items offered to the fire mainly include:

Cash: Rs 20,000 in cash kept in the briefcase.

Jewelery and valuables: Gold and silver jewelery kept in the house.

Other material: Clothes kept in the suitcase, door of the house and all the ration and items of the household.

Expressed anger over delay of fire brigade

Bhagat Ram told that as soon as the fire broke out, he immediately dialed 112 and informed the fire brigade. But it is alleged that the fire brigade reached the spot about an hour after the information. By then the fire had burnt everything to ashes. The fire was somehow controlled with the help of the villagers, but by then only ashes were left.

The complaint given to the police, the victim’s family has now come under the open sky. In this regard, Bhagat Ram has given a written complaint in Paraspur police station requesting for help. The villagers have demanded from the administration that considering the financial condition of the victim’s family, they should be provided proper compensation.
