Gurkirat Singh Monocha is a resident of Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. Moved to Canada to study business management at the Northern Lights College there. On March 14, a group of youth attacked Gurkirat in Fort St. John. Who are known to be his classmates. It is alleged that he was killed by a car that day. The young man was admitted to the hospital in critical condition but could not be saved.

On the night of the incident, another classmate of Gurkirat informed the family of the death. Disha’s family is shocked by such sudden news. Gurkeerat’s elder brother Prabkeerat Singh said that besides studying in Canada, the dead youth used to work part-time at a Walmart store. On the day of the incident, 10-12 youths were beaten up on the street. There was a previous conflict between them. In the end, he was crushed to death by the wheels of a car.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed grief over the brutal murder of 23-year-old Gurkirat Singh Manochar. He commented, a case of intense pain. He expressed his condolences to the bereaved family. The Ministry of External Affairs has started the process to return the body of the youth to the country.
