Tremendous craze in paid preview of ‘Dhurandhar 2’: More than 6 lakh tickets sold before release

Director Aditya Dhar’s much-awaited film Dhurandhar: The Revenge is in the news even before its release at the box office. The film is going to be released in theaters on March 19, but a day before that, i.e. from the evening of March 18, its paid preview shows will be organized across the country.

Advance booking of tickets for paid previews is receiving an excellent response from the audience. According to trade reports, more than 6 lakh tickets have been sold for these preview shows so far, which is considered a big achievement for any film before its release.

According to Trade Port, pre-sales of the film’s paid previews have reached approximately ₹37.38 crore with block seats. Without block seats, this figure is said to be around ₹32.44 crore. Analysts estimate that the film could earn between ₹40 to ₹45 crore in India from paid preview shows alone, which would be considered a very strong start for any film.

Close to Rs 100 crore even before release

Advance booking for the official release of the film has also started on the first day of March 19 and it is also getting good response. According to the report, advance booking worth about ₹ 22.70 crore has been done so far in India for the first day.

Whereas pre-sales for the first weekend in international markets have reached around ₹ 60 crores. In this way, the total pre-sales of the film with block seats has reached around ₹ 119.81 crore, due to which it has crossed the 100 crore mark even before its release.

advantage of solo release

Initially it was going to clash at the box office with Yash starrer Toxic, but after the postponement of that film, Dhurandhar 2 has almost got a solo release. Although Pawan Kalyan’s film Ustad Bhagat Singh is also releasing on March 19, but it will be released mainly in Telugu language, hence Dhurandhar 2 is expected to get a big advantage in the Hindi market.

While the first film was released only in Hindi, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is being released pan-India this time. The film will be released in theaters in Hindi as well as in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages.

Considering the increasing curiosity among the audience about the film and strong advance booking, trade experts believe that this film can be included among the films giving the biggest opening of the year at the box office.
