Bihar Rajya Sabha Elections: Shock to Grand Alliance, NDA’s fifth candidate leads!

Political activity has intensified regarding the ongoing Rajya Sabha elections in India. The ongoing election process for 37 seats in 10 states reached the final stage on Monday (March 16). Out of these, candidates have already been elected unopposed on 26 seats, while now the focus is on the remaining 11 seats, where the number of voters is more than the seats.

These 11 seats include 5 from Bihar, 4 from Odisha and 2 from Haryana. Voting for these seats started from 9 am on Monday.

The contest became interesting with 6 candidates contesting for 5 Rajya Sabha seats in Bihar. From the NDA side, the victory of Nitish Kumar (JDU), Ramnath Thakur (JDU), BJP national president Nitin Naveen and Upendra Kushwaha (R Mirza) is considered almost certain. Although there was supposed to be a tough contest between BJP candidate Shivesh Kumar and independent candidate Amarendra Dhari Singh for the fifth seat, but now the picture of this seat also seems to be almost clear.

Voting for Rajya Sabha elections in Bihar has ended. According to sources, the MLAs have suffered a major setback in this election because four districts of the alliance did not vote. According to the information, Faisal Rehman did not cast his vote, while Manohar Prasad, Surendra Kushwaha and Manoj Biswas also did not turn up to vote.

After these four districts abstained from voting, the number of MLAs has come down to 37. Whereas all 202 of NDA MLAs Has voted. In such a situation, the victory of NDA’s fifth candidate Shivesh Kumar is considered almost certain.

It is believed that he may get around 38 votes from NDA, while RJD candidate AD Singh is likely to get around 37 votes. After the voting is over, counting will start soon, after which the results will be announced.
