Oscars 2026 Winner List: Another historic Oscars ceremony took place at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, where the action-thriller film ‘One Battle After Another’ directed by Paul Thomas Anderson won six awards including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay. On the other hand, ‘Sinners’ created history by being nominated in 16 categories and won four awards. The vampire drama earned Ryan Coogler his first Oscar for Best Original Screenplay, and Michael B. Jordan received the Best Actor trophy in his very first nomination. In a major accomplishment, DP Autumn Durald Arkapaw became the first woman in Academy history to win an Oscar for Best Cinematography for ‘Sinners’.
Know who got the award
Guillermo del Toro’s ambitious film ‘Frankenstein’ also received awards for Best Costume Design, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, and Production Design. Amy Madigan, who played the evil Aunt Gladys in Zack Krieger’s film ‘Weapons’, won the Best Supporting Actress award. The special thing is that Sean Penn, who won the Best Actor Award for his role in ‘One Battle After Another’, became the fourth man in history to win three acting Oscars after Jack Nicholson, Walter Brennan and Daniel Day-Lewis. This year marked an important milestone in the history of the Oscars, as it also included an award for Best Casting, which was won by Cassandra Kulukundis for ‘One Battle After Another’.
