Big decision of Yogi government regarding sale of eggs, new rule will be implemented from next month

UP News: Yogi government has taken a big decision regarding the sale of eggs in Uttar Pradesh. Which will come into effect from next month. Actually, now in Uttar Pradesh it will become mandatory to write the expiry date along with the production date on eggs. The purpose of this decision of Yogi government is to ensure the availability and use of fresh and safe food items to the consumers.

Under the new rule of Yogi government, shopkeepers will not be able to sell eggs that are several days old or spoiled. Along with this, customers will also be able to easily know whether the eggs are old or fresh by looking at the date written on them. By which it will be known whether the egg is fit to eat or not. Let us tell you that Yogi government believes that this decision will boost food security. Besides, consumers will also get better quality goods.

Decision taken in Yogi government meeting

Let us tell you that during a meeting, the Yogi government took the decision regarding the expiry and production date of eggs. It is believed that the new rules will come into effect from April 1. The Animal Husbandry Department and Food Safety Department are also taking strict action regarding this. According to the Chief Veterinary Officer, eggs are directly related to people’s health. Old eggs were sold at many places. Due to which customers could not know whether the egg is old or new.

Under the new rule, it will be mandatory to write the production date and expiry date on eggs. This will bring transparency in sales and customers will also be able to get fresh and safe eggs. Earlier, some shopkeepers used to sell only old eggs due to which customers were not able to know how old the eggs were. Under the new rules, if any wholesale or retail trader breaks the rules, his eggs will be confiscated and destroyed.

At what temperature are eggs safe?

According to scientists, every food item has a certain temperature to be stored. It is safe to keep eggs at a normal temperature of 30 degrees Celsius. At this temperature, eggs can be preserved for about 14 days so that they do not spoil. Whereas eggs remain safe for one month at a temperature between 2 to 8 degrees Celsius.
