India Post starts new high-speed parcel delivery service, know

Indian Postal Department has launched new high-speed services of parcel delivery in 24 and 48 hours. With a money-back guarantee and end-to-end tracking, this initiative will prove to be reliable for e-commerce and business customers.

New Delhi: Indian Postal Department has launched three new premium services for faster delivery of parcels and time bound consignments. Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Tuesday launched ’24 Speed ​​Post’, ’24 Speed ​​Post Parcel’ and ’48 Speed ​​Post’. In these services, delivery is guaranteed within 24 and 48 hours. If the postal department is not able to deliver on time, the money will be returned to the customers under the money-back guarantee.

This new initiative is considered to be the beginning of a new era for India Post. The Communications Minister said that the opportunities inherent in this service are huge and the e-commerce market has the potential to grow to Rs 30 lakh crore by 2030 from Rs 11 lakh crore at present.

Services started in six major cities

In the first phase, these services have been made available in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. The Department of Posts has assured to ensure delivery within the stipulated time frame by using special processing and priority based air transport.

Under the ’24 Speed ​​Post’ service, next day delivery will be available in major metros, which will speed up the process of express logistics. At the same time, delivery will be ensured in two days in ’48 Speed ​​Post’ service.

Customers will get security and tracking

The new services will include delivery of parcels with OTP (One Time Password) based verification. Apart from this, the facility of end-to-end tracking has also been provided, through which customers can know the status of their parcel in real-time. Parcel status will be continuously updated through SMS alerts.

With this, customers will continue to get complete information about the delivery of the parcel and the confidence of receiving it on time will increase. The Postal Department says that this facility will raise new hopes in the field of express logistics in India.

Facilities for business customers

The Department of Posts has also launched ‘Book Now Pay Later’ (BNPL) facility for business customers. Apart from this, facilities like free pickup, API integration and centralized billing will also be available on big bookings.

With these facilities, business customers will be able to save their time and costs. This will further strengthen the premium logistics capability of India Post.

Money-back guarantee will increase confidence

The new premium service also includes a money-back guarantee in case of delays. This means that if the parcel does not arrive on time, the customer will get the payment back. This will increase customer trust and satisfaction.
