Chief Minister Rekha lashed out at AAP, said- human error is being weaponized

Delhi News: The atmosphere in the Delhi Assembly became emotional when Chief Minister Rekha Gupta appeared hurt while giving her views. Pain was clearly visible in the voice of the Chief Minister today in the House which is generally known for political debates and heated exchanges. The matter is related to the memes created by the opposition on social media regarding his statement.

The Chief Minister directly targeted the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), saying that the human fallibility of his words was being deliberately weaponised. He said that if at any time the tongue slips, then making fun of it is an insult not only to a Chief Minister but also to a woman.

Politics on human error of words

Rekha Gupta clarified in the House that some words had come out by mistake. He admitted that at one place he used ‘AIQ’ instead of ‘AQI’ and in another context the word ‘Congress’ was used in place of ‘British’. He said that this was not a deliberate mistake, but a normal human error.

Delhi News: Questions raised on being a woman Chief Minister

Making serious allegations against the opposition, the Chief Minister said that perhaps some people do not like a woman becoming the Chief Minister. He asked emotionally,
“Can’t a woman run Delhi?”
He said that such jokes and comments reflect anti-women mentality.

Mental pain and falling level of politics

Rekha Gupta said that the memes being created on social media cause her deep mental pain. This shows the falling level of politics, where personal insults are being given priority over issues.

Delhi News: Sharp attack on corruption and ‘Sheeshmahal’

Along with the emotional speech, the Chief Minister also made a strong attack on the Aam Aadmi Party. He said that his mistake was unintentional, but the opposition has deliberately deceived the people of Delhi.
He reminded that those who used to talk about not taking car, bungalow and government facilities before coming to power, are the same people who are today building ‘Sheesh Mahal’ with the money of corruption.

Journey from movement to power

The Chief Minister sarcastically said that the party which emerged from the movement is today stuck in the quagmire of corruption. To hide her shortcomings she is resorting to making fun of others.
