KC Tyagi left JDU as soon as Nitish went to Rajya Sabha? Will announce new role on March 22

As soon as Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was elected to the Rajya Sabha, senior leader KC Tyagi has severed his ties with Janata Dal United (JDU). This decision has come at a time when the politics of the state is already going through a phase of change. Actually he has not taken part in the membership campaign of the party. Didn’t renew membership, announced separation himself

KC Tyagi clearly said that he is no longer a member of JDU. He did not renew the membership of the party, due to which his formal relationship with the party ended. He said that I have not resigned from the party yet. But did not participate in the membership campaign.

Let us tell you that for the last few months he was maintaining distance from the party’s activities, due to which signs of his separation were already visible. Now his move has confirmed those speculations.

Respect for Nitish Kumar remains intact

However, despite separating from the party, KC Tyagi has said that he will maintain respect for Nitish Kumar. He told that his relationship with Nitish Kumar is more than 50 years old. He also said that political differences have their place, but there is no bitterness in personal relationships. This statement shows that Tyagi does not want to completely end his old relations.

Played important role in JDU for a long time

KC Tyagi has been associated with the party since its formation. He performed many important responsibilities in JDU formed after the merger of Samata Party. He has held the positions of General Secretary, National Principal General Secretary, National Spokesperson and Political Advisor to the National President. He has been counted among the senior and experienced leaders of the party.

Preparation of new political strategy

Tyagi told that a meeting of like-minded people has been called on March 22 at Mavalankar Hall in New Delhi. Further political strategy will be decided in this meeting. It is here that he will also give information about his new role.

He indicated that he would continue to move forward on the ideas of Chaudhary Charan Singh, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia and Karpoori Thakur. There is also a possibility that he may start his new political innings with some regional party of Uttar Pradesh.

Reason for increasing uneasiness in JDU

KC Tyagi was feeling uncomfortable in the party for some time. He was not liking the growing closeness between JDU and BJP.

Apart from this, he had openly criticized the foreign and domestic policies of the central government, to which the party leadership had objected. In September 2024, he also resigned from the post of national spokesperson of JDU. KC Tyagi’s separation from JDU is not only a personal decision, but it can also signal the beginning of new equations in Bihar and national politics.
