New Delhi. The first list of 55 candidates of the Congress Party has been released for the Kerala Assembly elections. Former MP Ramya Haridas has been declared a candidate from Chirayinkizhu seat while Abdul Rasid has been declared a candidate from Dharmadas assembly seat. In this list of Congress, Chandy Omman, son of former Chief Minister Omman Chandy, has been given ticket from Puthuppalli seat. Whereas Congress State President Sunny Joseph from Peravur seat, VD Satheesan from Paravur, Ramesh Chennithala from Haripad, Ramya Haridas from Chirayinkeezhu and K. Muraleedharan has been fielded from Vattiyoorkavu seat.
Apart from these, Congress has declared Rajiv Chandrashekhar as its candidate from Nemom. While V Muraleedharan has been given ticket from Kazhakootam and Navya Haridas from Kozhikode North. Let us tell you that Navya Haridas was in BJP before this. She was the leader of BJP Mahila Morcha. In the by-election held on Wayanad Lok Sabha seat in the year 2024, Navya Haridas had contested on BJP ticket against Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. Although Priyanka Gandhi defeated him.
