New Delhi. Many changes take place at the beginning of every month. These changes also affect your everyday life. From April 1, HDFC Bank and Punjab National Bank i.e. PNB are also going to implement new rules related to ATM for their customers. HDFC Bank has decided that from April 1, 2026, if money is withdrawn cardless through UPI from its ATM, it will be counted towards the free transaction limit of the month. Till now, the limit for free transactions was fixed only on HDFC Bank’s debit card and there was no limit for withdrawing money using UPI. Now apart from HDFC debit card, withdrawal of money from ATM through UPI will also be counted. After crossing the limit, you will have to pay Rs 23 and GST for withdrawing money from HDFC Bank ATM through debit card or UPI. You can transact only 5 times a month from the bank’s ATM and 3 times every month from the ATMs of other banks.

At the same time, PNB has decided to reduce the daily withdrawal limit from some categories of debit cards from April 1, 2026. Earlier, customers could withdraw up to Rs 1 lakh daily on some debit cards of PNB. Which has been reduced to Rs 50 or 75 thousand per day. According to PNB, this decision has been taken to increase the security of customers’ accounts and prevent fraud. Information is also being sent by PNB to the customers taking such debit cards.
