WhatsApp Tips- If you want to keep WhatsApp chat safe, then turn on these 3 settings

Today WhatsApp has become the most popular and easy way for us to communicate, one of the most used messaging platforms which offers many in-built privacy and security features. Many users are not fully aware of these options or are unable to use them properly. If you want to keep your conversations private and protect your account from unauthorized access, there are some important settings you should turn on. Let us know about them-

1. WhatsApp Chat Lock

The Chat Lock feature allows users to protect specific conversations so that no one else can read them. This is especially useful when your phone accidentally falls into someone else’s hands.

How to turn on chat lock:

Open the chat you want to lock

Tap the contact’s name at the top of the screen

Scroll down and select Chat Lock

Turn on the feature using your device’s authentication

2. Disappearing Messages

Another useful privacy feature on WhatsApp is Disappearing Messages. With this option, messages automatically disappear after a set period of time, which helps prevent sensitive conversations from being stored for long periods of time.

Users can choose from three time frames:

24 hour

7 days

90 days

How to turn on Disappearing Messages:

Open a chat with the desired contact

Tap the contact’s name above

Scroll down and select Disappearing Messages

Turn the feature on and choose a time range

3. Two-Step Verification

The Two-Step Verification feature adds another layer of security to your WhatsApp account. Even if someone tries to register your phone number on another device, they won’t be able to access the account without entering your verification PIN.

How to turn on Two-Step Verification:

Go to Settings in WhatsApp

Tap on Account

Two-Step Verification चुनें

Set a 6-digit PIN to secure your account
