New way of film promotion, entire team imprisoned at home
New style of film promotion
New Delhi: Film promotion in Bollywood usually means noise, interviews and public appearances, but the film Dhurandhar 2 (Dhurandhar The Revenge) has completely changed this tradition. Just a few days before the release of the film, its entire cast and crew have gone missing. Director Aditya Dhar has decided to confine his team at home.
Aditya Dhar’s unique decision
There is tremendous enthusiasm among the audience about this film releasing on March 19. Aditya Dhar does not want any spoiler or unwanted revelation before the release. Therefore, he has given strict instructions to his team to go completely underground.
No interviews, no TV shows, no mall events and no public appearances. The team has been given clear instructions to refrain from answering any questions related to the film.
Artists’ experience of being confined at home
A leading actor of the film spoke openly about this unique situation. He said, “We are no longer going to weddings, temples or any family function. Just stay at home, this is our new mantra. There is a fear that someone might ask strange questions and the suspense of the film will be broken. There is a lot of excitement among people about Dhurandhar 2, so it is safe to stay away from the eyes of the media till the release.”
difference between first and second part
The atmosphere was completely different at the time of the first film Dhurandhar. At that time, apart from the director, every artist, technician and background dancers were also in the media. He was getting huge fees in reality shows and private events, but in this sequel the rules have completely changed.
Now Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R. Artists like Madhavan, Akshay Khanna, Danish Pandor, Rakesh Bedi and Naveen Kaushik are also maintaining silence. Everyone has kept distance from limelight.
New promotion strategy
This underground strategy of Aditya Dhar is completely different from the traditional promotion model of Bollywood. While usually crores of rupees are spent on promotion in the last week of release, the team of Dhurandhar 2 is trying to maintain the suspense.
The film is releasing on March 19. Now it remains to be seen whether this unique experiment is successful or not. Will the team be able to maintain the suspense while being confined at home and the audience will reach the theatre?
