Pakistan Stops Military Operation Against Afghanistan: A huge update has come out on the ongoing fierce war between Pakistan and Afghanistan. As part of the military campaign against Afghanistan, Pakistan has decided to stop its attacks for the time being. Information Minister Ataullah Tarar said that this step has been taken on the special request of neighboring countries and on the holy occasion of Eid. This decision is a small attempt to restore peace in the region after international pressure and mediation.

Pakistan launched its military operation ‘Operation Ghazab Lil Haq’ The official announcement of temporary stoppage has been made on social media. According to the Information Minister, this decision has been taken on the mediation and special request of friendly countries like Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey. The main objective of this step is to maintain peace during Eid-ul-Fitr and provide some respite to innocent civilians from the horrors of war.

This special ceasefire announced by the government will officially come into effect in the entire border area from Wednesday midnight. Pakistan’s Information Minister clarified that this temporary ban will continue continuously and completely till midnight of Monday. This deadline has been fixed only keeping the festival of Eid in mind so that people can celebrate without any fear.

Earlier, Pakistan had extensively targeted the terrorist infrastructure present inside Afghanistan and the military setup of Taliban. The Pakistani Army claims that they attacked only those places which were involved in harboring or promoting terrorists. Air strikes were carried out in many other major areas including the capital Kabul, due to which the security system of Afghanistan completely collapsed.

Strict Warnings and Terms

Along with the announcement of ceasefire, Pakistan has also issued a very clear and strong warning to the Afghan administration. If any cross-border attack, drone attack or terrorist incident occurs inside Pakistan during this period, the military operation will start immediately. Pakistan says that they are implementing this peace proposal completely in good faith and under Islamic rules.

This fierce dispute between Pakistan and Afghanistan started in late February, after which there have been continuous cross-border clashes. Pakistan alleges that Afghanistan provides safe haven to militants who cross the border and attack Pakistan. India has also strongly condemned this Pakistani attack on Kabul hospital, calling it against religion and inhumane. This hospital was once a US military base which was later converted into a rehab center and hospital by the Taliban.
