16 flights diverted at Delhi airport due to bad weather
New Delhi: At least 16 flights were diverted at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) on Wednesday evening due to inclement weather conditions in Delhi. An officer gave this information.
There was a thunderstorm and heavy rain in the national capital on Wednesday evening. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued ‘Orange Alert’ for Delhi.
The official said 16 arriving flights of IGIA were diverted to other airports. IGIA, operated by Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), is the largest airport in the country and handles more than 1,300 flights daily.
