Why the ruckus over the blouse that slips on the back of the bodice? Amidst the uproar over Nora Fatehi’s song, the director’s wife raised sharp questions.
New Delhi. South’s much-awaited film KD The Devil has come at the center of a major controversy even before its release. While some people were liking the chemistry of Nora Fatehi and Sanjay Dutt in the film’s new song Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke, its double meaning double meaning words have started a new debate on social media. The controversy grew so much that music partner ‘Anand Audio’ had to remove the Hindi version of this song from YouTube. Now the film’s writer-director Prem’s wife and famous actress Rakshita Prem has openly expressed her views on this entire matter.
Through Instagram Stories, Rakshita took on the critics who are questioning the film’s director and his previous work because of this song. Rakshita questioned why when songs like Choli Ke Peech Kya Hai, Peelings and Dreamum Wakeupam came into Indian cinema, they were readily accepted. He sarcastically asked, when in entire films only sexual intercourse is talked about, then no one has any objection, then why is there so much ruckus over this one song? However, she clarified that she is not justifying it, but is only trying to understand the dual attitude of the public.
Rakshita also expressed concern over the indecent behavior towards film makers. He said that the audience has every right to ask questions, but it is wrong to abuse a film maker or writer. Referring to the challenges of the Kannada film industry (Sandalwood), he said that in today’s time, selling a film on OTT or big channels has become the biggest challenge for a director. According to Rakshita, KD is like our child and we will ultimately do what is right for the film.
It is noteworthy that this film is going to be released in theaters on April 30. This uproar over the opening lines of the song and its filming has given a different direction to the promotion of the film. While on one hand the film team is only talking about love and trust, on the other hand the censor board and the audience are keeping a close eye on the entire film.
