Gaurav Prajapati Encounter: Police arrested the accused Gaurav Prajapati after an encounter in the murder case of a 4-year-old girl who went missing on March 16 in Nandgram police station area of Ghaziabad. The body of the girl was found in a critical condition in the field the same night, and she died during treatment in the hospital. During interrogation, the accused confessed to the rape and murder by hitting her on the head with a brick.
The post-mortem confirmed serious injuries on the body and private parts. On March 18, during the recovery of evidence, the accused fired at the police, after which he was shot in his legs in retaliation.
The accused crossed the limits of cruelty
The accused had crossed all limits of cruelty. If media reports are to be believed, it comes to light that this accused is a beast in human form. Seeing the innocent girl alone, he made her his victim and after committing the crime, he killed the girl by hitting her on the head with a brick. According to the police, after the murder, he cleaned his blood-stained hands with a handkerchief and threw it in the nearby bushes. The accused is a resident of this area on whom the family members had already expressed suspicion.
The accused was trying to escape
On Wednesday morning, when the Uttar Pradesh Police took the accused Gaurav to the crime scene to collect evidence, he opened fire on the police with a previously hidden illegal weapon. According to ACP Ziauddin Ahmed, the police retaliated in self-defence, in which the accused was shot in both his legs. Illegal pistol and cartridges were also recovered from the spot.

Raped on the pretext of getting toffee
Gaurav Prajapati, who was caught by the police, lived in the neighborhood of the girl’s family. Gaurav had taken the girl on the pretext of getting her candy and then the girl did not return. The post-mortem report of the girl has confirmed rape and the cause of death has been said to be attack on the head with a heavy object.
