Let us inform that on Wednesday, an oil tanker overturned near National Highway-68 Siwara and caught fire. After the accident, the fire spread up to 200 meters on the road. One person in the tanker was burnt alive, while the other one came out in time. The accident happened on Sinwada overbridge at around 2 pm on Wednesday. According to the information, the tanker was going from Barmer towards Sanchore. Due to the overturning of the tanker, oil spread on the highway and caught fire. The fire spread to about 200 meters on the highway.
On information, Sanchore SDM Pramod Kumar and Sinwara outpost police immediately reached the spot. According to the information, the tanker was going from Barmer towards Sanchore. Due to sudden loss of balance on the overbridge near Siwara area, the tanker overturned and caught fire. The flames were so strong that the drivers passing nearby stopped their vehicles in fear and moved away.
In the accident, one person traveling in the tanker died a painful death by being burnt alive, while the other person managed to save his life by coming out in time. As soon as information about the incident was received, the administration came into action and Sanchore SDM Pramod Kumar, local police and fire brigade teams started efforts to control the fire.
Considering the seriousness of the fire, the administration stopped traffic on a part of the highway, so that no other major accident occurs. According to preliminary information, the tanker was of Gujarat number and may possibly belong to Bharat Petroleum. Police and administration are busy investigating the entire matter.
