Murder in broad daylight in Chandigarh: 9 rounds of firing on property dealer Preet Nagra as soon as he left the gym, panic in the area.
Chandigarh. There was a stir in the posh Sector-9 of Chandigarh on Wednesday afternoon when unknown assailants shot dead a property dealer in public. The person who lost his life in this sensational incident has been identified as Preet Nagra, who was a resident of Kubaheri in Mullanpur area of New Chandigarh and was a property dealer by profession.

According to the information received, the incident occurred at around 12 noon. Preet Nagra was coming out of ‘Body Zone’ gym located in Sector-9, when the ambushed attackers opened fire on him. The sound of gunshots created panic in the entire area and people were in panic. Nagara, who was seriously injured, was taken to a nearby government hospital soon after the incident, but doctors declared him brought dead. This incident, which took place in broad daylight, has also raised questions on the security arrangements of the city.
As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and started scanning the surrounding CCTV footage. In the initial investigation, the attackers could not be identified, but the police is also investigating the angle of old enmity or property dispute behind this murder. At present, police deployment has been increased in the entire area and raids are going on in search of the accused.
