64 passengers in UP Roadways bus, 62 without tickets

Bureau Prayagraj- The Managing Director of Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation has said that strict action will be taken when 62 out of 64 passengers were caught traveling ticketless in the bus of Buddha Vihar Depot of Aligarh region. He says that a report has been called in this entire matter. The driver conductor has been dismissed. TI has been suspended. The entire bus was running ticketless, in such a situation, not only the driver, conductor and TI, but also the senior officials of the area are responsible. Upon receiving the report, strict action will be taken against RM and ARM.

The latest case is related to Buddha Vihar depot of Aligarh region. The bus number here UP 78 LN 2671 was going from Aligarh to Faridabad. Contract driver Mithun and conductor Jagdish Gautam were deployed on the bus. There were a total of 64 passengers in the bus. Principal Manager Gaurav Verma along with the team from Roadways Headquarters did a surprise checking of the bus. The bus was stopped between Tappal and Palwal. Along with the checking squad, GM Gaurav Verma was also surprised to see that there were a total of 64 passengers in the bus, out of which 62 did not have tickets.

Meanwhile, conductor Jagdish Gautam handed over the ticket machine to the checking team and ran away from there. The services of the driver and conductor were terminated for operating the entire bus ticketless. The concerned TI was also suspended. Explanation has been sought from the checking squad.

Anil Kumar, Principal Manager Operations of the Transport Corporation, says that almost all the passengers in the bus were traveling ticketless. In such a situation, not only the driver, operator and TI are responsible within this scope, but the regional manager and assistant regional manager are also fully responsible. He says that when I was posted in the area, I was suspended only after I was found holding 12 ticketless buses. In such a situation, strict action will be taken against the regional officials in this matter also.
