6-lane road to be built in Bihar: Great news for these districts!

Patna. A big step is being taken towards strengthening the infrastructure in Bihar. Under the Patna Ring Road project, preparations for the construction of a six-lane road between Kanhauli and Sherpur have intensified. This project will not only reduce the traffic problem of the capital but will also improve the connectivity of the surrounding districts.

Construction will start after monsoon

Currently the tender process of this project is going on. It is expected that the selection of the agency will be completed soon, after which the land acquisition work will begin. According to officials, once this process is completed, construction work can be started after monsoon, i.e. around September-October.

9 kilometer long road will be built

Under this project, about 9 kilometer long six lane road will be built from Kanhauli to Sherpur. This road will be an important part of Patna Ring Road, the objective of which is to reduce the vehicular pressure inside the city.

Construction will be done at a cost of Rs 777 crore

The estimated cost of this road project has been kept at around Rs 777 crore. This expense will be borne by the central and state governments together. Earlier there were some problems regarding funding, but now after consensus has been reached between both the parties, the project has got the green signal.

Will benefit from better connectivity

This road will work to connect many important areas. Especially districts like Saran and Vaishali will get direct benefits from it. Apart from this, this road will also be connected to major bridges and routes, which will make travel easier to cities like Arrah, Buxar and Gaya.
