In view of the inflammatory posts on social media and threats of violence on the upcoming festival, ‘Association for Protection of Civil Rights’ (APCR) had filed a petition in the High Court.1. Main directions of the Delhi High Court: The bench of Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyay and Justice Tejas Karia gave the following orders during the hearing: Feeling of security: The court said, “Police arrangements should be such that it creates a sense of safety and security among all sections.” Ban on mischief: The administration should ensure that no section of the society can do any kind of “mischief”, which could lead to worsening of the situation. Security till Ram Navami: Court has directed the police that this special security arrangement in Uttam Nagar should continue not only till Eid but also till the upcoming festival of Ram Navami (26-27 March 2026).2. ‘Tight’ security arrangements: Dwarka district becomes Kila After the High Court order, Delhi Police has increased the security manifold in Uttam Nagar and Dwarka district: 150+ picket points: More than 150 police posts (Pickets) have been made in sensitive areas.
