Jharkhand News: Jharkhand government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, has launched many welfare schemes keeping in mind the women, youth, tribals and poor sections of the state. In the recently presented budget, the government has explained these schemes in detail. Let us understand these in simple language.
What is Maiyan Samman Yojana?
First of all let’s talk about Chief Minister Maiyan Samman Yojana. The main objective of this scheme is to make women financially strong. Under this, women aged between 18 to 50 years are given Rs 2500 directly into their bank accounts every month. Till now, more than 50 lakh women have taken benefit of this scheme, which makes it quite successful.
Jharkhand became the first state to start this scheme
The second important scheme is Sarvajan Pension Yojana. Jharkhand is the first state to start such a universal pension scheme. This includes elderly people above 60 years of age, widowed women and disabled people. The special thing is that now there is no need for ration card or income certificate for this scheme, due to which more people can take advantage of it.
This is the objective of Samriddhi Yojana
The objective of Savitribai Phule Kishori Samridhi Yojana is to promote girls’ education and prevent child marriage. In this scheme, a total of Rs 40 thousand is given in different installments to girl students from class 8th to 12th, so that they can continue their studies.
These students have the opportunity to study abroad
At the same time, through Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Overseas Scholarship Scheme, meritorious students of the state get the opportunity to study abroad. Students belonging to Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes and minorities are given full scholarships to study in universities in UK and London. Now the number of beneficiaries has been increased to 50.
Soft loan and free coaching to students
The government has started Guruji Student Credit Card Scheme for the youth. Under this, students can take a soft loan up to Rs 15 lakh without any guarantee. With this they can do medical, engineering, law or other professional courses. Apart from this, under the Chief Minister Education Promotion Scheme, students are given free coaching and Rs 2500 per month for accommodation. Its purpose is to encourage the youth for education.
Abua Housing Scheme for the poor
Abua Housing Scheme has been started for poor and homeless people. This is a supplement to the PM Awas Yojana. Under this scheme, people who do not get the benefit of PM Awas Yojana are helped in building a permanent house of 3 rooms by giving them Rs 2 lakh.
Livestock development scheme for cow-goat rearing
Mukhyamantri Pashudhan Vikas Yojana has been brought to strengthen the rural economy. In this, 50% to 90% subsidy is given on rearing cows, goats and poultry, so that the income of the village people can increase.
This scheme is special for the youth
Finally, under Jharkhand Chief Minister Employment Generation Scheme, youth are given loans up to Rs 25 lakh to start their own business. Up to 40% subsidy is also available in this, which helps the youth to become self-reliant. Overall, all these schemes have been made keeping in mind the different sections of Jharkhand, the aim of which is to improve the economic and social condition of the people of the state.
