West Bengal Assembly Elections 2026: BJP has released its second list for West Bengal Assembly elections. This time the party has announced the names of a total of 111 candidates. Looking at this list, it is clear that the party has given its entire life for victory. The list includes not only politicians, but also famous faces, former government officials and Bengali cinema stars. This move of BJP is being considered as a big attempt to break into the power of Bengal.

In the second list of BJP, the big names like former Lok Sabha MP Roopa Ganguly and Nishith Pramanik are being discussed the most. The party has made Roopa Ganguly the candidate from Sonarpur South, who is considered a big face in the politics there.

Former Union Minister in the fray from Mathabhanga seat

At the same time, former Union Minister Nishith Pramanik has been fielded in the election fray from Mathabhanga seat. By fielding these faces, BJP has given the message that it wants to strengthen its hold in every corner of Bengal and is ready to give a tough competition to TMC. The interesting thing is that not only old BJP leaders, but also recent faces from other parties have found a place in this list.

Ticket to former TMC leader Tapas Roy also

Former TMC leader Tapas Roy has got the ticket from Maniktala, while trust has been expressed on Kaustav Bagchi from Barrackpore. Dr. Rajesh Kumar, a former IPS officer, has been fielded from Jagatdal seat, which shows that the party is working on a strategy to bring forward experienced and educated faces.

Party’s trust in film stars

Apart from politics, the party has also expressed confidence in film stars. Actor Papia Adhikari has been given ticket from Tollygunge seat, due to which the contest there is going to be very interesting. Apart from this, BJP’s firebrand leader Priyanka Tibrewal has been fielded from Entali. Priyanka has always been known for her outspoken statements. The party has tried to save its old bastion by giving ticket to Arjun Singh from Noapara.
