To suppress the voice of the public, PM Modi wants to close every avenue where questions can be asked: Supriya Shrinet.

New Delhi. Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinet held a press conference on Thursday. During this, he said that PM Narendra Modi and his government are being exposed on every front, their dark deeds are being exposed. Names of famous people of Modi government are in the Epstein file. By surrendering to Trump, PM Modi has put the country’s sovereignty at stake. Due to Narendra Modi’s failed foreign policy, Pakistan, Russia and China have come together. In such a situation, along with the opposition, the general public of the country is asking questions to the Modi government. Social media is a means for common people to ask questions. But Narendra Modi has decided that he will eliminate democracy from India and impose monarchy. Therefore, to suppress the public voice, Modi wants to close every avenue through which questions can be asked – even if the method of closing is illegal.

He further said, after subjugating the mainstream media, the Modi government is now trying to take over the social media. Accounts on Twitter asking questions of the government and raising public issues were banned in India. I have also received notices 11 times regarding social media posts and two ministries of Ashwini Vaishnav are doing this shamelessly. That is, now some people of the government will decide which accounts will run on social media and which will not.

Supriya Shrinet further said, Modi government is attacking the freedom of expression given by the Constitution. The government wants that the questions which are not raised by the mainstream media should not be raised on social media and digital platforms. He said that my question to PM Modi is that whenever there is criticism, why do you get scared? If a social media account is banned for raising questions, is democracy not in danger?
