**Ustad Bhagat Singh** (also stylized as *Ustaad Bhagat Singh*), is a Telugu action-comedy film. This is the second collaboration between **Pan-India superstar and politician Pawan Kalyan** and director **Harish Shankar** after their hit film *Gabbar Singh* (2012). The film releases in theaters on **March 19, 2026**, coinciding with the celebration of Ugadi festival. At the box office, it competed with Ranveer Singh’s film *Dhurandhar: The Revenge* (which was released on March 19, coinciding with festivals like Gudi Padwa, Ugadi and Eid-ul-Fitr).
**Pawan Kalyan** has played the lead role of Bhagat Singh in this film. He is a moralistic, fearless character who is inspired by his mentor (and reflects revolutionary ideals). The supporting cast includes **Sreeleela** and **Rashi Khanna** in the female lead roles, along with **R. Parthiban**, **Ashutosh Rana**, **Nawab Shah**, **B. S. Avinash**, **Gautami**, **Chamaka Chandra** and other actors are also there. Produced by Maitri Movie Makers (Naveen Yerneni and Y. Originally announced as *Bhavdiyadu Bhagat Singh* in 2021, the title of the film was changed to *Ustad Bhagat Singh* in 2022. Its release was earlier scheduled for March 26, but after another big film got postponed, it was decided to release it on March 19.
**First day response** from fans—especially from Pawan Kalyan’s die-hard supporters who attended the early morning and overseas premiere shows (including the one in the US on March 18)—has been largely positive for Pawan Kalyan’s performance.
