Some users consider it a film promoting the works of the BJP government. On the film ‘Dhurandhar 2’, Congress MP Tariq Anwar said, “It is clear that this film has been made under a special agenda. The kind of violence shown in it, in my opinion, is not right for the young generation. The way allegations have been made on a particular community is also not right. This kind of portrayal only works to increase hatred and negativity in the society.”
NCP (SP) MP Fauzia Khan told IANS, “…such films are being made, and we have heard that they are even screened in front of the Prime Minister. After this, propaganda is being run against Muslims across the country. It is not right to make the citizens of your own country an enemy…” Meanwhile, Muslim religious leader and All India Muslim Jamaat chief Maulana Shahabuddin Rizvi Barelvi said that films like Dhurandhar 2 are creating a Hindu-Muslim divide. Creating a rift between them.
Maulana Shahabuddin Rizvi Barelvi said, “See, after watching the film ‘Dhurandhar 2’ it seems that whatever is shown in it is based on false stories. And everything made on such fabricated stories is also false. The aim of some people associated with the film industry, especially the directors, seems to be only one – to earn money. In this race for money, they are creating a rift between Hindus and Muslims and are trying to create controversy. They want to destroy the mutual goodwill and brotherhood between Hindus and Muslims.”
On the other hand, Nishad Party President and Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Sanjay Nishad said about the film ‘Dhurandhar 2’, “…Cinema is a medium of reform, which teaches that mistakes have consequences. It shows good and bad politics, highlights right and wrong people, and reflects social values. Whatever is happening in the society, it is shown on the screen…”
