Three members of CPI (Maoist) sentenced to 10 years each

Lucknow. The court has punished three accused associated with the banned organization Communist Party of India (Maoist) (CPI-Maoist) with rigorous imprisonment of 10 years each and a fine of Rs 29,000 each. This decision was pronounced by the Special Court (ATS) Lucknow on 19 March 2026.

The culprits include Shivraj Singh Bagdawal, Rajendra Kumar alias Arvind and Kripashankar alias Manoj. He was arrested by Uttar Pradesh STF from Kidwai Nagar police station area of ​​Kanpur in the year 2010.

During the arrest, literature, pamphlets, CDs and other materials related to the organization were recovered from them. This case was investigated by ATS. Based on the evidence, the court found all three guilty of conspiring against the country and sentenced them.
