Happy Eid thorn ‘fatwa’, not to pray in public, ban only in Arab countries

Happy Eid (Eid 2026) at the end of Ramadan. The festival is celebrated by the Muslim community of the whole world. But the new ‘fatwa’ became a ‘thorn’ in the tide of happiness. In several countries of the Arab world, it has been made clear that public prayers cannot be offered on the occasion of Eid. On the occasion of Happy Eid, people in Qatar gather at one place and pray. But this year it didn’t happen like that. Everyone prayed inside the mosque.

On Thursday i.e. March 19, the moon was seen in Saudi Arabia. As a result, Eid is celebrated in Middle Eastern countries on Friday. Besides Saudi Arabia, countries like United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon also observed Eid on Friday. Our people have joined their prayers by going to various mosques of the countries. Devotees from different parts of the world gathered in Makkah and Madinah as well. But they were not allowed to pray publicly.

Why was not allowed to pray publicly in Arab countries? Because for the last 21 days, the Middle East is burning in the fire of war. On February 28, America and Israel launched a joint attack on Iranian soil. Several regions of Iran, including Tehran, were destroyed. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei died in the attack. In response, Iran is attacking several American military bases spread across the Middle East and Israel. Massive missile and drone attacks have been carried out on Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Jordan, Iraq, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey. There was also a possibility that the attack could target large gatherings on the occasion of Eid. That is why people were forbidden to pray publicly.

Iran and Israel have continued to retaliate on this day. Iran shot down two US F-35 fighter jets on Friday. An F-35 jet was also reportedly destroyed. On the other hand, at least 2 people died in Lebanon due to Israel’s attack. It is known that a 4-day holiday has been announced in most countries of the Middle East on the occasion of Eid. The Arab world is celebrating Eid with the fear of war in mind.
