Mumbai: Monalisa Bhosle, the famous personality of Maha Kumbh Mela, is once again in the news, but this time due to death threats against her. Monalisa, who became famous on social media with her charm while selling Rudraksh and garlands in the Kumbh Mela, recently got married to Maharashtra actor Farman Khan in an interfaith marriage, due to which she has also been accused of ‘Love Jihad’.

Monalisa and Farman have shared a video and informed that they are openly receiving death threats. She said in this video, “Hello friends, I am Monalisa Bhosle and this is my husband Farman Khan. I am sending this video with a letter to everyone. Please help us. We are being openly threatened.”

He met Farman Khan through social media and both knew each other for about one and a half years. Their wedding took place as per Hindu tradition in a temple near Thiruvananthapuram. Due to opposition from his family, he sought protection from the police. Monalisa had clarified in a press conference that this is not ‘love jihad’ and their marriage took place as per Hindu customs. She respects all religions. Farman is also an actor and both of them together denied this allegation. However, after the marriage, the debate on social media has intensified. Some people consider it a victory of love, while some are calling it a case of ‘Love Jihad’. Monalisa’s father had also earlier alleged ‘love jihad’ and appealed to the Chief Minister to bring his daughter back.
