58 obscene videos, assets worth Rs 200 crore… Fake Baba’s big sex-blackmail racket exposed in Nashik

Nashik: A case has come to light from Nashik, Maharashtra which has raised a big question on the trust and faith of the people. Ashok Kharat, who called himself an astrologer and ‘Godman’ and was known by the people as ‘Captain Kharat’, is now in the custody of the police on serious charges. Serious allegations have been made against him like exploiting women by deceiving them and blackmailing them.

According to the police, the accused won the trust of a 35-year-old married woman by resorting to religious rituals and his alleged divine powers. It is alleged that between November 2022 and December 2025, he drugged the woman and raped her several times. After this matter came to light, the police took immediate action and arrested the accused and started investigation.

Objectionable videos found in raid

During the investigation, the police raided Kharat’s office ‘Oaks Property Dealer’. A pen drive was recovered from here, in which 58 objectionable video clips were found. Police suspect that many influential women and high-profile people may be involved in these videos. At present these clips have been sent for forensic investigation, so that the truth can come out.

Big network of blackmailing

Another shocking revelation has come to light in the investigation. Neeraj Jadhav, a former employee of the accused, is accused of extorting money from women by sending them objectionable pictures. A case of extortion and threat of making the pictures viral has also been registered against him in Shirdi. From this it is being speculated that this whole matter may be related to some big gang.

Who is ‘Captain Kharat’?

Ashok Kharat has previously worked in the Merchant Navy. Later he made his mark through astrology and numerology and gradually became famous as ‘Godman’. It is said that he had relations with many big political leaders and influential people. Many people contacted him to know their future, due to which his reach and influence increased.

Property and weapons worth crores recovered

Police investigation has also revealed that the accused has made wealth worth about Rs 200 crore in the last 15 years. Cash, property documents and some weapons have also been recovered from his hideouts. The matter has become even more serious considering such huge wealth and his contacts.

SIT formed, investigation intensified

Considering the seriousness of the matter, the Maharashtra government has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT). This team is being led by female IPS officer Tejaswini Satpute. Police say that the investigation is still in the initial stage and many more big revelations may be made in the coming days.
