New Delhi. Trinamool Congress (TMC) has released its manifesto for the West Bengal Assembly elections. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has named this manifesto of her party ’10 pledges for Bengal’. In this he has made many promises to the people of the state. It has been said that unemployed youth will be given financial assistance of Rs 1,500 every month and Rs 18,000 annually. Under the ‘Lakshmi Bhandar’ scheme, it has been announced to give Rs 1,500 every month to general category women and Rs 1,700 every month to SC-ST.

Mamata Banerjee said that we will organize ‘Duare Chikitsa’ camp, through which medical camps will be organized in every block and town to ensure door-to-door medical services. Schools will be made modern with e-learning facilities. The manifesto has promised to bring an agri-budget of Rs 30,000 crore for the betterment of farmers. Apart from this, TMC has also promised to the people of the state that every family will have a permanent house and piped drinking water will be supplied to every house. The manifesto also talks about creating seven new districts in Bengal and increasing the number of urban local bodies through major geographical reorganisation.

Releasing the TMC manifesto, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said, the people of West Bengal have given us immense blessings, good wishes and support. We have also tried our best to serve them. Targeting BJP, Mamata Banerjee alleged that the central government is planning to snatch citizenship of people after the elections in the name of NRC and Census. Let us tell you that voting will be held in two phases for 294 assembly seats in Bengal. Voting will be held for the first phase on April 23 and for the second phase on April 29. The election results will be declared on May 4.
