‘Marty Supreme,’ A24’s Oscar-Nominated Film, sets HBO Max date
Marty Supreme now arrives to stream on HBO Max starting from April 24.
A24’s Oscar-nominated film, which was released on December 25, was based on the bold, fast-talking Marty Mauser as he wildly pursues becoming the best table tennis player in the world.
Timothée Chalamet, who starred as Mauser in the 1950s-set drama.
The other cast includes Odessa A’zion as Rachel Mizler, Gwyneth Paltrow as Kay Stone, Tyler Okonma as Wally, Kevin O’Leary as Milton Rockwell, Abel Ferrara as Ezra Mishkin, Fran Drescher as Rebecca Mauser, and Emory Cohen as Ira Mizler.
Marty Supremedirected by Josh Safdie, marks the filmmaker’s first solo feature without his brother, Benny Safdie, after the duo parted ways professionally in 2024. They have previously co-directed Uncut Gems (2019) and Good Time (2017).
The film is produced by Safdie alongside Timothée Chalamet, Eli Bush, and Ronald Bronstein.
The project earned multiple accolades during awards season, securing Golden Globe nominations for best motion picture (musical or comedy), best screenplay, and best actor in a musical or comedy for Chalamet.
It also garnered nine Oscar nominations, but ultimately went home empty-handed.
