Suspense on CM’s face in Bihar, JDU expressed its intention before NDA meeting

Sanjay Singh, Patna. Speculation about the next Chief Minister has intensified in Bihar politics, but the picture is not completely clear yet. JDU’s working national president Sanjay Kumar Jha has clearly said that it has not been decided yet which party will be the next Chief Minister of Bihar or who will become it. He indicated that this decision will be taken only after extensive discussion among all the constituent parties of NDA.

NDA coalition will form government

Sanjay Jha described Nitish Kumar as a universally accepted and experienced leader of NDA and said that he led Bihar for more than two decades. The alliance will continue to benefit from his experience and guidance in future also. Jha said that even if Nitish Kumar is seen in the role of Rajya Sabha, his connection with the politics and development of Bihar will remain the same as before. He will remain in Delhi during the Parliament session, but for the rest of the time he will remain active in Bihar and give direction to the party and the government.

Discussion started on many names

Meanwhile, discussions regarding the new face have also intensified in the political circles. Especially considering the caste and social equations of the state, names of possible candidates have started emerging. It is believed that keeping in mind the Koeri-Kurmi vote bank, the name of BJP leader Samrat Chaudhary is emerging prominently. He is currently considered a strong OBC face in the politics of Bihar. This discussion got further strength when HAM (Hindustani Awam Morcha) chief Jitan Ram Manjhi also publicly advocated making Samrat Chaudhary the Chief Minister a few days ago.

This statement of Manjhi has sparked a new debate in political circles and is being seen as an indication of a possible balance of power within the NDA. However, JDU does not seem to be in a hurry with any name at present. The party’s emphasis is that first discussions should be held with all the alliance partners and then the decision should be taken unanimously. This also indicates that this time the NDA wants to move forward in a strategic manner regarding the face of the Chief Minister, so that the electoral equations can be strengthened.

Suspense still remains

In Bihar politics, the post of Chief Minister has always been a matter of balance between social equation, caste balance and political experience. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see what name the NDA finally agrees on. Will trust be maintained on the experienced leadership or will a new face be promoted?
