Recently, the government insurance company ‘Agriculture Insurance Company of India Limited’ (AIC) has started the ‘Krishi Sakhi’ initiative with the aim of promoting the country’s women farmers in the agriculture sector. Under this scheme, not only will the identity of women farmers increase, but they will also be made financially empowered by connecting them with agriculture and crop insurance.
