Monsoon Update – Heavy Rainfall Likely in 17 States Till March 22, Here’s the Details
New Delhi: The weather in North India has remained quite adverse recently, characterized by shifting cloud cover accompanied by spells of rain. Unseasonal rains, storms, and hailstorms have caused significant damage to farmers’ Rabi crops. Farmers in Western UP, Haryana, and Punjab have also suffered losses, with wheat crops being flattened to the ground.
This has come as a severe shock to the farming community. There appears to be no immediate respite from the rain in sight, as heavy cloud cover continues to persist over the region. Drizzle is still being recorded in some areas. Weather conditions have also deteriorated significantly in South India.
