In the midst of the Iran war, Shia-Sunni fire in Pakistan! Munir is worried about the ulema

Pakistan’s house is burning due to Iran war. Anger against the Shahbaz-Munirs, who are leaning on the feet of America, has reached an extreme level among the Shia groups of Pakistan. A statement by Asim Munir insulting the Shia community added fuel to that fire. Pakistan Army Chief Asif Munir approached the ulema to save his back in this serious situation.

After the death of Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei in a US attack, Pakistan has been burning with massive violence. Shia groups targeted the US embassy there. On the other hand, the Sunni community has again provided silent support to America in the whole incident. It was in this situation that Munir recently met Shia clerics. “If the Shias love Iran so much, they should go to Iran,” Munir said while attending the Iftar organized by the Shia community in Rawalpindi. Also referring to Jinnah, he said, “Jinnah himself belonged to the Shia community.” He warned that no violence will be tolerated in Pakistan by exploiting the events of other countries. This community claims that Munir’s statement is an ‘insult to Shias’. It was even alleged that the Shia Ulemas were not given a chance to speak on the occasion.

“If Shiites love Iran so much, they should go to Iran,” Munir said. Also referring to Jinnah, he said, “Jinnah himself belonged to the Shia community.”

As the situation became serious, the Pak army chief met with the ulema of this community to break the Shia standards. According to sources, the main aim of this meeting was communal harmony keeping national unity in mind. The Iran War also clarified Pakistan’s diplomatic position. Trying to add fuel to the fire, Munir said, “We are Muslims and Pakistanis first. Shia and Sunnis second. Our communal identity should not in any way override national interest.” Munir also said, “Although Sunnis are the majority in the country, 20-25 percent of the total population are Shias. I understand the sentiments of the Shia community. But foreign events should not create unrest in Pakistan.”

It should be noted that Pakistan is burning with the US attack on Shia-majority Iran and the assassination of Khamenei. Shia groups protested in front of US embassies in Safa. Allegedly, to stop the protest, Munir’s army shot and killed the protestors together with America. Shia groups in Pakistan are furious over the whole incident. Munir’s controversial comments on this have divided the entire Pakistan. In this situation, the army chief of Pakistan met with the Shia Ulemas to heal the wounds.
