Chinese murder suspect arrested at Ho Chi Minh City airport while attempting to flee
A Chinese national suspected of killing a foreign man at a hotel in Ho Chi Minh City was arrested at Tan Son Nhat International Airport while attempting to leave the country, police said.
Hu Yong Chao, 34, was detained on Saturday evening by the airport’s police in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Police’s Criminal Police Department as he prepared to board a flight.

Authorities identified Hu as the main suspect in a fatal incident that occurred the previous afternoon at a hotel in An Lac Ward. The victim was a foreign man.
Police had alerted airport authorities overnight after identifying Hu as a person of interest. Investigators determined he had checked in for a Shandong Airlines flight bound for China.
Using surveillance footage, officers located him sitting at a café in the international terminal and moved in to make the arrest.
