Delhi High Court intervenes in Westend Green Farms demarcation dispute; DDA should give opportunity of hearing before taking any decision
Delhi High Court has given an important order in the demarcation dispute of the land of West End Green Farms located in Rajokri area. The Court directed the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) to thoroughly verify the ownership and revenue records of the land owners and provide an opportunity of fair hearing to all affected parties before taking any decision.
Petitioners’ lawyer Sumit Gehlot argued in the court that his clients Aksh Sijra and Khatuni have valid documents – registered deed, revenue records and approved building plan. They claim that the authorities marked a portion of the land as storm drain area without prior verification, thereby affecting their ownership rights. The court made it clear that affected landowners cannot be excluded from the process. Justice Sanjeev Narula said that before the final decision, landowners should be given an opportunity to present their documents and raise objections.
The matter pertains to the DDA notice issued on December 9, 2025, which directed land demarcation for the portion of the drain between Samalka and Rajokri villages. The petitioners claim ownership of more than 2.75 acres of land. The Court directed that the petitioners appear before the Deputy Director (Land Management), DDA on 24 April 2026. All legal rights and remedies will remain open. The petitioners are represented by advocates Sumit Gehlot and Manju Gehlot of Fidellegal Advocates and Solicitors.
