Adani Electricity achieved the title of country’s top electricity distribution company for the second consecutive year

This achievement in the evaluation of 66 power distribution companies in the country reflects excellence in areas such as better power supply, accurate billing and grievance redressal. The Distribution Utilities Ranking (DUR) and Consumer Service Rating of Discoms (CSRD) reports released by the Union Power Ministry and REC Limited have underlined this changing scenario.

Company’s Managing Director and CEO Kandarp Patel called it the result of the team’s hard work. He said that this honor is a symbol of the trust of the customers. Reiterating his promise to provide uninterrupted and reliable electricity service to Mumbai’s over 30 lakh consumers, Patel stressed on digital technology and resource management.

Financial strength, operational efficiency, smart meters and data analytics gave a strong foundation to the company. Companies like Tata Power, Noida Power, South Gujarat Vij and BEST are also at the top, highlighting the management and technology-based competition in the region.

Consumer services in the sector saw a broad improvement, with six companies getting an A+ and none ranked at the bottom. This progress is a milestone towards making power distribution more efficient and consumer-centric. Adani Electricity is leading this journey.
