New Scooter: Yamaha introduces new model of three-wheel scooter Tricity 300, know price and features

New Scooter: Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Yamaha Motor Company has introduced the new 2026 model of its popular three-wheel scooter Yamaha Tricity 300. The special thing is that it has become the first scooter in the world to have airbag technology. This advanced safety feature has been developed in collaboration with Autoliv.

New safety with airbags
An airbag has been installed in the front apron of this scooter, which detects collision with the help of advanced sensors. It opens immediately in case of a frontal impact and helps prevent the rider from falling forward. Although airbags are not entirely new to two-wheelers—the Honda Gold Wing Tour already has them—it is a first for the scooter segment.

Design and Technology

  • Yamaha Tricity 300 has been given a new and more attractive look for 2026. This includes LED lighting, new front design and split-style tail lamps. New color options like Milky White, Zen Green and Power Gray have also been provided.
  • To improve braking, it has been provided with IMU-based brake control system and unified braking system, which balances braking between front and rear wheels. Along with this, traction control provides better grip even on difficult roads.

Features and connectivity
The scooter has a modern digital interface with a 4.2-inch TFT display and 2.8-inch LCD screen. It also gets smartphone connectivity through Garmin navigation and MyRide app. Other features include keyless start, storage space, parking brake and Yamaha’s Leaning Multi-Wheel System, which gives better balance during cornering.

Engine and Availability
This scooter has a 292cc engine, which generates 28 PS power and 28.9 Nm torque. It is capable of giving a mileage of 30.3 kmpl. The Yamaha Tricity 300 will be launched in Europe in 2026, where customers will be able to choose from both airbag and non-airbag variants. At present there are no plans to launch it in India.
