Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave appointment letters to nursing officers

Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday handed over appointment letters to 492 selected nursing officers in a function organized at Lok Bhawan in the capital Lucknow, while the remaining 736 candidates were given appointment letters by local public representatives in a live program organized in 13 government medical colleges and two medical institutions. Along with the Chief Minister of the state, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Minister of State and departmental officers were present in the program. This recruitment process has been done by Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission.

In the ceremony organized to provide appointment letters, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that young men and women studying nursing are sure to get jobs, because they are in demand not only in Uttar Pradesh or India but also in many countries of the world. Discussing his 9-year tenure, Chief Minister Yogi said that at present there are 81 medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh. Listing the shortcomings of the health department before 2017, he said that appointments were made then, but it did not matter to anyone whether doctors go to the hospital or not, whether patients get treatment or not, but since 2017, not only health but all the systems in the state have changed. Rather, appointments are being made with transparency on the basis of merit and appointment letters are being given on the festival of Navratri. More than nine lakh appointments have been made in nine years and there has been no complaint of corruption anywhere. Earlier mafia and government used to run parallel. But, today the mafia system has ended. We have actually implemented One District One Medical College.

Discussing the poor condition of health facilities in eastern Uttar Pradesh, the Chief Minister said that thousands of deaths were caused due to encephalitis and no one asked. Referring to the district hospital of Gorakhpur, he told how till the retirement of a woman principal there, the then government neither made arrangements for the faculty nor for the principal and the ANM and GNM courses were on the verge of closure. When I was an MP at that time, when my retirement was nearing, the Principal told us about the problem and when we called the CMO and asked, he told us that we have written many letters to the government but no hearing is taking place, such was the system at that time.

Government is improving health services

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that we started the ANM-GNM colleges which were closed in the previous governments. Due to the efforts of the government, 35 ANM colleges and 31 nursing colleges were improved in the state. The double engine government of the state took health care on priority. Earlier everything was going on relying on God. In the program, Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak congratulated all these selected nursing candidates for their appointment.
