CM Dhami kept the most powerful departments with himself, what is the strategy behind the division among ministers?

Uttarakhand News: After recently expanding his cabinet, the Chief Minister has now divided the departments among the ministers. This division was awaited for a long time, because some important departments were directly with the Chief Minister for a long time. Now, under the new system, many departments have been handed over to the ministers, while some important and sensitive departments have been kept by the Chief Minister himself.

Earlier it was the responsibility of more than 35 departments

According to the information, earlier the Chief Minister had the responsibility of more than 35 departments. This number is considered quite large, due to which the workload also increases. Now after the new division, he has given some departments to ministers, but still has kept many important departments with himself.

CM will handle this department

The Chief Minister has decided to personally handle key departments like General Administration, Home Department, Personnel, Vigilance, Appointment and Training and Information and Public Relations. All these departments are considered very important for the functioning of the government. Especially through the Home Department and General Administration, there is direct control over law and order and administrative decisions. Therefore, keeping these departments with itself is being considered a strategic decision.

So that the work can progress faster…

On the other hand, the rest of the departments have been divided among different ministers, so that each minister can pay full attention to his department and the work can progress faster. The government believes that this division will lead to better coordination in the work of departments and schemes can be implemented quickly on the ground.

These 5 ministers got the responsibility of different departments

Recently five new ministers were sworn in. These include Khajan Das, Madan Kaushik, Bharat Singh Chaudhary, Pradeep Batra and Ram Singh Kaida. All of them have now been given the responsibility of different departments. Actually, five posts in the cabinet were vacant for a long time. Of these, three posts were already vacant, one post had become vacant due to the death of a minister and one post had become vacant due to resignation.

That’s why work pressure had increased

Due to these vacant posts, the work of many departments went directly to the Chief Minister. Due to this, work pressure had increased and there was a possibility of delay in decisions. Now, with the arrival of new ministers and division of departments, an attempt has been made to solve this problem to a great extent.

What does political viewpoint say?

From a political point of view, this division has been done very thoughtfully. In this, regional balance, social representation and administrative efficiency have been kept in mind. That is, efforts have been made to ensure that different regions and classes get representation and at the same time the work of the government can also run in a better manner.

What do experts say?

Experts believe that keeping important departments with the Chief Minister is a strong strategy. With this, the main command of the government remains in their hands and they can have direct control over major decisions. At the same time, the responsibilities have been properly distributed by giving the remaining departments to the ministers. Overall, this new departmental division is being considered an important step towards making the government more organized, responsible and result-oriented. It is expected that development work will accelerate and administrative work will be better than before.
