SRH will field under the captaincy of Ishan Kishan, Head-Abhishek will show strength in the opening, know what is the playing XI

IPL 2026 is going to start from March 28 and Sunrisers Hyderabad will once again enter the field in their first match with the intention of batting aggressively. In the last few seasons, SRH has made a special mark with its stormy strike rate and fast starts. This time also the team will try to maintain the same style.

The team’s batting lineup looks very strong. The opening pair of Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head will once again take the responsibility of scoring fast runs in the powerplay. Both the batsmen looked in great form in the 2024 season and have the power to change the course of the match in the initial overs itself.

Ishan Kishan can come at number three, who will also be seen handling the captaincy of the team this time. Recently, he performed brilliantly in the T20 World Cup 2026 and scored 317 runs, which included three half-centuries. His form can prove to be a big plus for the team.

Heinrich Klaasen’s role is going to be important in the middle order. After retirement from international cricket, he will enter IPL with a fresh mind. Last season, he proved his usefulness by scoring 487 runs. Along with him, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Liam Livingstone will give balance to the team. Livingstone will strengthen the team as an all-rounder, although recent form remains a challenge for him.

Apart from this, Aniket Verma is also expected to get a chance, who impressed everyone by batting with an excellent strike rate of 166 last season.

Talking about bowling, the responsibility of fast attack will be on Harshal Patel and Jaydev Unadkat. Due to the absence of Pat Cummins in the initial matches, Braydon Carse can play the role of the third fast bowler. Whereas the team lacks experienced options in the spin department, in such a situation Harsh Dubey may get the responsibility of the main spinner.

If the team enters the field with balance, then Sunrisers Hyderabad can once again become a strong contender for the title in IPL 2026.
