Air India Group to operate 30 flights on March 23 amid West Asia tensions

New Delhi. Despite the ongoing tension between America, Israel and Iran, Air India and Air India Express have decided to operate a total of 30 flights to West Asia on March 23. According to the official statement of the airline, these flights will be in both scheduled and non-scheduled categories.

Air India Group will operate a total of 10 flights to Jeddah. These include Air India flights from Delhi and Mumbai, while Air India Express will operate from Bengaluru, Kozhikode and Mangaluru.

Air India Express will operate four flights to Muscat and four to Riyadh. In addition, 12 additional non-scheduled flights will be operated to the UAE and Saudi Arabia, subject to operating conditions and slot availability.

In UAE, special flights will be operated to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. Air India will serve the Delhi-Dubai route, while Air India Express will ensure connectivity to Delhi, Mumbai and Mangaluru.

However, flights to many destinations including Doha, Kuwait City and Tel Aviv will remain suspended for the time being.

The airline has given affected passengers the option of ticket re-booking or full refund without additional charges. Also, assistance is being provided through WhatsApp and customer support.

Air India Group said that it is continuously monitoring the situation and is also considering operating additional flights if needed, so that passengers face minimum inconvenience.
