Testing facilities increased in Ranchi RIMS, now cheaper and better treatment will be available at one place, big relief to poor patients.
Jharkhand: There is news of great relief for the patients at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) located in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. Now almost every type of test is going to be available to the patients here in one premises. The Trauma Center’s lab already has 24-hour testing facilities, and now many new and expensive tests are also being added to it. With the introduction of these new tests, patients will be able to detect the disease on time and treatment can be started quickly. Poor and needy patients will benefit the most from this, who till now had to spend thousands of rupees in private labs for testing.
6 new investigations will start
Identification of many serious diseases will be possible in the new tests being started in RIMS.
CA-125 test:- Useful for detecting ovarian cancer in women.
CA-19-9 test:- Helpful in detecting cancer of pancreas and digestive system.
Anti-TPO test:- Necessary to identify thyroid related problems.
Anti-CCP assay:- Helpful in early detection of rheumatoid arthritis.
Urine protein test:- To detect kidney disease and protein leakage.
RF test:- To confirm arthritis and know its severity.
Modern testing facility available 24 hours
The state-of-the-art lab is already working 24×7 at the Trauma Center of RIMS. Here the report becomes available within 4 to 5 hours. Many services like blood sugar, kidney and liver function, electrolytes, cholesterol, hormone tests, cancer markers, infection tests (CRP, D-Dimer), HIV, hepatitis and general pathology tests are already available here.
There will be less dependence on private labs
With the addition of new facilities, patients will no longer have to go out for testing. This will not only save money but will also save time. Especially the patients of Ayushman Bharat Yojana and BPL category will get direct benefits. Doctors believe that serious diseases can be controlled with timely diagnosis and treatment. There was a demand for these testing facilities in RIMS for a long time, which now seems to be fulfilled.
