Assam Elections 2026 : Trinamool Congress (TMC) has released its second candidate list for the Assam Assembly Elections. This list has been declared under the guidance of party president and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. This second list includes the names of a total of seven candidates from different assembly constituencies of Assam. The candidature of the candidate declared from Chamaria Assembly seat (AC No. 27) at serial number 6 in the first list has been withdrawn. According to the Election Commission, out of these, 9 seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) and 19 seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribe (ST). Assam also has significant representation in Parliament. The state has 14 Lok Sabha seats and 7 Rajya Sabha seats. Voting for all 126 assembly seats in Assam will be held in a single phase on April 9, while counting of votes will be done on May 4.
