Maharashtra: A big scandal has come to light in Nashik, Maharashtra. 67 year old Ashok Kharat, who calls himself ‘Captain’ and used to roam around as an astrologer and a Baba with divine powers, is now in the custody of the police. Initially the case started with the complaint of a woman, but now the SIT investigation is revealing many layers of his dark world.

Trap of hypocrisy and exploitation of women

Ashok Kharat used to call himself the incarnation of Lord Krishna. He used to tell women that they were his Radha in the previous life. In the name of worship, he would place a copper pot on his head, recite mantras and make him drink intoxicating peda or special water. Women would lose consciousness due to this. He would sexually assault her in the cabin by keeping the family members away.

Police found numbers of more than 40 women during interrogation of his office boy. 58 obscene videos were recovered from a pendrive, which are suspected to be of high-profile women. Now the police is asking for permission to investigate the CDR.

Secret of wealth worth Rs 500 crore

Investigation revealed that there were 52 properties in Kharat’s name, out of which 11 were registered in his name. It is spread in Nashik, Sinnar, Gangapur and Ahmednagar. The total price is said to be around Rs 500 crore.

Suspicious names were also found at some places, which were said to be relatives of senior officers. The Income Tax Department is now investigating benami properties. In the last 15 years, he added so much wealth in the name of numerology and numerology.

Secret meeting with IAS officers in Shirdi

Just three days before his arrest, three IAS officers met Kharat in a hotel in Shirdi. According to sources, his close aide ‘Vinod’ booked three different hotels – Kharat in one, Officers in the second and Baithak in the third. The police are now investigating this connection in depth.
